The Flintlock Mechanism
The flintlock carbines used a flint or flint stone to create a spark that ignited the gunpowder when the hammer was triggered. After each shot, manual reloading of the ammunition was required. The ammunition consisted of gunpowder, projectile, and a paper wad used as a plug to keep the two previous ones compressed inside the barrel.

Carbine Advantages and Limitations
Carbines were more precise than pistols and had a longer effective range. The loading and firing sequence was complex and required repeated drills for recruits to perform instinctively in the heat of battle. A well-trained soldier could theoretically fire five shots per minute, but in normal combat, it was more like two or three shots per minute, or even fewer if the confrontation lasted long. The bullet's trajectory was imprecise, and it was difficult to aim well during combat. To ensure effectiveness, a high density of weapons was grouped on a small front and fired at the shortest possible distance. Despite this, soldiers were often forced to use the bayonet after shooting.
Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), Emperor of France between 1804 and 1815, consolidated and instituted many of the reforms of the French Revolution. He is considered one of history's greatest military geniuses and conquered most of Europe. Feel like a part of Napoleon's conquests with this replica from DENIX.
